Kelly Tshibaka statement on “bipartisan” infrastructure deal with Biden

JUNE 25, 2021

Alaska conservative Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate Kelly Tshibaka today issued the following statement regarding the infrastructure deal struck among President Joe Biden, Democrats, and 11 Republican senators, including Sen. Lisa Murkowski:

“There’s no question that infrastructure and transportation projects are important, especially since Alaska always seems to get the short end of the stick. But once again, Lisa Murkowski has shown that she’s a willing tool for Washington, D.C. insiders who are merely using her to ram through their leftist agenda.

“She proudly stood with Joe Biden at the White House as he announced a deal on an infrastructure bill, but then he revealed the strategy behind parading her and other Republican senators in front of the cameras. Biden openly stated that he has no intention of signing this compromise infrastructure bill unless he also gets his multi-trillion-dollar grab bag of leftist goodies that have nothing at all to do with infrastructure.

“Make no mistake: the ‘bipartisan deal’ on infrastructure is being held hostage by the radical Biden administration. The political theater is simply to give the appearance of working across the aisle, with the Republicans being used as window dressing. And Lisa Murkowski either doesn’t realize it, doesn’t care, or is reading off Biden’s script.”
